Not long after graduating from Otis Parsons School of Design, she met her husband Guy Toley on a blind date. The pair married in 1994, the same year they started their business. Those first years were a whirlwind for the young couple, from start-up out of their house launching Claire Pettibone luxury lingerie, to just a few years later when the collection became a favorite at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and boutiques all over the world.

Brides across the globe became enamored with her style, and when Priscilla Chan chose an embroidered sheath gown for her 2012 nuptials to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Claire Pettibone became a household name. Grace Loves Lace

Disillusioned with the structured, traditional wedding ‘uniform’ that dominated the market, Megan Ziems set out to change the bridal industry. She believed that quality shouldn’t be dictated by a price tag, and that a woman shouldn’t be forced to sacrifice style for comfort. She thought that the brides of today deserved better than average.

And so, in 2010 began the story of Grace Loves Lace. Since then, the team has created a whole new perspective on bridal dressing and have been designing gowns that want women to feel confident and empowered in. Their handmade gowns are all about effortless luxury, quality and style. They design gowns that have soul, originality and authenticity.
